Features Sizes and Purpose
These hand crafted cymbals look as they sound dark, and complex. Reminiscent of cymbals from the 50s and 60s yet distinctly modern and relevant for today’s music, Kerope is named in honor of Kerope Zildjian, who presided over one of the most storied periods in Zildjian history.
Plenty of give, texture and “crashability.” Combination of top articulation and bottom spread provides excellent stick articulation. Lower in pitch.
K Constantinople cymbals speak with the dark warm sound associated with Zildjian cymbals made in Turkey in the first half of the 20th Century. “Old Ks” first resurfaced during the 1950s and 1960s in set-ups of bebop era vanguard drummers like Elvin Jones.
K Constantinoples are hand-lathed by skilled artisans using old-style cutting tools. Pits and other surface impurities, that modern finishing processes remove, are retained, preserving the original tonal quality.
This Zildjian ZBT 3 Cymbal Pack includes an 18″ crash ride and a pair of 13″ hi-hats plus a free 14″ crash. Sound grooves and round hammer strikes in a simple circular pattern on the top surface of ZBT cymbals magnify the basic sound of the distinctive ZBT alloy. ZBT Series Hi-Hats produce a sharp and focused sound with an excellent, bright chick sound. The ZBT crash ride cymbal produces a cutting ride sound with good crash qualities. The free 14″ crash has a brilliant finish and provides easy playability-the perfect first crash cymbal.
The bright, intense, high-pitched sound of the Zildjian ZBT series cymbals cut through the mix. The sheet origin and lathing techniques create high-volume projection that speaks quickly and brightly when struck then decays rapidly. Since ZBT cymbals are pressed and lathed from sheets of uniform, high-quality bronze alloy, they are remarkably consistent.
The highly polished, brilliant finish looks fresh and offers excellent, clean stick articulation with controlled overtones.
GN16 BUFFED BRONZE 14/18/20 DS CYMBAL SET
The Zildjian Gen16 A/E System utilizes the Buffed Bronze cymbals with their volume-reducing hole pattern, a Direct Source Pickup and a Digital Cymbal Processor (DCP) to bring new experiences to the world of hybrid/e-drumming. This innovative system provides the ability to shape acoustic cymbal tones and apply DSP effects such as EQ/Filtering/Pitch Shifting to create new textures not commonly available in traditional acoustic cymbals. This is done without any worry of feedback, crosstalk or phasing that can occur with traditional microphone setups.
Unlike cymbal trigger pads, Zildjian Buffed Bronze cymbals may be played with sticks, rods or mallets. They can be brushed and choked like traditional cymbals because they are real cymbals.
The Zildjian A Series New Beat Hi-Hat Pair are the world’s most popular and versatile cymbals. Created from cast bronze alloy of 80% copper, 20% tin, and traces of silver, it is symmetrically machine hammered and lathed with a traditional wide groove. The result is an exuberant cymbal that bursts with a classic voice that is pure, bright, and expressive.
The 16″ K Constantinople Crash has received a makeover. Incorporating the same features as the new 15″, 17″, and 19″ K Constantinople Crashes, the 16″ Crash now utilizes new hammering techniques allowing the cymbal to open up with more dark overtones, distinction, and musicality than ever before. The new pin lathe, added to the top and bottom of each cymbal, serves as an additional tonal groove, adding to the overall complexity of the sound produced. Additionally, the new pin lathe enhances the visual appearance of these cymbals adding a vintage look of the Ks of the past.
These traditional-finish A Series hi-hats have a lightning-fast response for short, tight, funky beats. Four holes in bottom provide fast air release, making them all the more nimble.
Developed with the assistance of drumming icon Vinnie Colaiuta, A Customs utilize radical rotary hammering techniques, thin to medium weights for a crisp, sweet, sophisticated A Zildjian sound. Not too dark, not too bright–cymbals that are just right for modern music.
Zildjian Cast Bronze Cymbals
Cast Bronze cymbals are individually poured and cast from raw molten metal. Each casting is cooled and sorted by weight for each cymbal model, then the castings are put through a complex sequence of heating, rolling, shaping, hammering, and lathing techniques unique to each cymbal range.
Cast Bronze cymbals have a rich, full-bodied sound that improves with age, and have greater projection, clarity and durability than any other cymbals. Zildjian cast cymbals are made from the Zildjian secret alloy, which is comprised of 80% copper, 20% tin, and traces of silver.
The ZBT Hi-Hat Cymbals produces a sharp and focused sound with an excellent, bright “chick.”
The bright, intense, high-pitched sound of the Zildjian ZBT series cymbals cuts through the mix of other instruments.
Sheet origin and precision lathing techniques create high-volume projection that speaks quickly and brightly with a rapid decay. Since ZBT cymbals are pressed and lathed from sheets of uniform, high-quality bronze alloy, they are remarkably consistent.
The highly polished, brilliant finish looks fresh. Superb all-purpose ride cymbal. Excellent, clean stick articulation with controlled overtones. ZBT-Plus cymbals take Zildjian Bronze Technology up a notch with advanced hammering and lathing, and enhanced sound for versatility, musicality, and professional performance.
The new 15″ K Constantinople Crash compliments the 16″ and 18″ Crashes currently in the product line. It features a new hammering technique, an additional pin lathe on the top and bottom, and a new vintage-style cup. These new features allow the cymbal to maintain the dark, expressive quality of the K Constantinople line sought by drummers the world over and incorporate even more overtones and nuances. The cymbal is thin in weight and the new pin lathe feature also gives the cymbal an appearance similar to earlier Ks from the 60’s.
Developed as the company’s flagship series, K Constantinople cymbals are crafted to emulate the handmade cymbals Zildjian produced in the early 20th Century while still in Turkey. Designed to develop a more complex character as they age, each cymbal is hand-hammered, producing unique attributes even between cymbals of the same size and model.
Constantinople Crashes are crafted with a vintage-style bell, thin weight, and pin lathing for an umbrous character with nuanced atmosphere and decay.
